camels- part 2

We've only had a handful of camel encounters since moving here over a year ago (and I"m going to tell you about all of the ones I have photos of)

1-camel ride on our desert safari. (I wrote a little about before in this post)
A desert safari is one of the must-do tourist experiences.  It's an evening of dune bashing in a 4x4, sand-boarding, henna painting, belly dancing, a traditional bedouin feast for dinner and, of course, camel rides.
If you've ever had a camel ride- you'll remember the scariest part is when they stand up and sit back down.  Those camels have LONG legs and the incline was so steep, I was doing all I could to keep my belly from ramming into Asher's back and squishing him between me and the horn on the saddle. Poor kid.  Our ride was quite hilarious (and a bit scary) with me being 7 m pregnant, Ivy terrified, and the photographer clicking away with my camera.  After viewing the pictures, I realized maybe he was paying more attention to us than he seemed to be because only one photo has our faces in it and that was before the ride even started! [see above].
Who knows when we'll get the kids on a camel again.

Well you will certainly win with that one if you ever play the "I've done something no one else has done" game. The whole desert safari things sounds awesome!
