it's beginning to look a lot like....

We took the kids to downtown Ashland where Santa was taking pictures with the kids for free.  The best part about it was there was no line and we parked right in front.  On Saturday morning I told Asher that we would go see Santa when Ivy woke up from her nap.  Multiple times he asked when we were going to go and multiple times he told me that since he's bigger now, he wasn't gonna be scared of Santa because "Santa's not scary, he's nice." (last year he cried all 4 times we attempted to get his pic with Santa- at the mall, on Newbury street, at the church party and at at the school party).  Sure enough when we pulled up the car and saw Santa sitting in his big chair waiting for us, Asher refused to get out of the car.  Once we told him that Santa would give him a candy cane, he agreed to get out. However, it still took another 15 or so minutes (and the candy cane) for him to finally agree to sit on Santa's lap.  No smiles, but no screaming.  I'll take it.  Ivy, on the other hand, was just fascinated with the beard and not very smiley.  ok, well, blogger or my computer is being wierd and I can't upload my other photos so I'll just post this one for now and try again tomorrow.

  4. Cute picture. I love Asher. Happy Birthday to Asher - of course, I didn't get his gift sent off in time. It will have to be a belated present.

  5. They both look so serious! We are bad parents. Our kids see Santa at the church party but we have no pics for the last two years. My girls are still afraid of him.
