While looking for crabs, star fish, and other sea creatures in high tide at the beach the other night, the kids were delighted to discover a sting-ray.
Our friend Alex helped to coax him to shore.
Canyon was braver than Asher and Ivy and got close for a picture.

Unfortunately Ray was dead.
we didn't kill him, but I think the wave runners that rode by minutes before probably did. He was still bleeding when we met.
Poor Ray.
