Moving week

Know what I got for Mother's Day?  A new place to live and all of the belongings that we had shipped from the U.S. We spent most of last week trying to get settled.

we just got the computer and internet up and running again so I finally have a chance to update the blog and read a few e-mails.  We still have a few boxes to empty, curtains to hang, and a few appliances to purchase.  So far we think this place is great (nice neighbors, beautiful neighborhood, great community feel and activities), although it would be better with friends or family like you next door.  Anyone interested in finding a job over here for a few years?  I'm more than happy to help in the job hunt, relocation, anything!  Let me know and I'll try to talk you into it!

  1. You're hilarious Toria. I feel the same way though. With everyone going their seperate ways this Summer I keep wishing I could live where everyone else is. Too bad we can't all stay together all the time. But, that's what gets us meeting new people (heck, that's why I know you guys! and everyone else here at westgate). :) Loving life--one place and many people at a time!

  2. I'm so glad you found a place that you like, can't wait to see pictures, I think our next move will be to Utah, but at the right price we might be talked into Dubai...

  3. Dan and I would totally come if we could afford the plane ride- what fun we would have at the lake :)

Got your email about the lanterns. Sorry it all turned into this, I feel bad. I am headed to Utah this weekend so I will just pick them up while we are there. Thanks again for being the middle man. Love you guys

  4. Gosh, all I got for Mother's Day a soccer ball. Just what I always wanted! It'll be great if it helps my kids learn to love soccer though. My friend got a Slip-N-Slide. At least Father's Day is coming up soon...maybe Lane will get some furniture or landscaping!

  6. Congrats on getting your stuff, it is probably such a relief! Not that living in a hotel doesn't have its perks!

  7. Toria-
Hi! So I have a random question. My friend's husband is in the Navy and they're going to Dubai, and she heard that there's lots of cool places to shop, but was wondering if you had any recommendations? I know you haven't lived there long, but I thought I'd check. Thanks-
    Angela (Craig)

  8. Toria-
Thanks for the info. I passed it on to her. She's actually not going to be there, just her husband (she's meeting up with him in China or Thailand instead of Dubai). She just wanted to tell him where to shop for her! And they put them up in some ritzy hotel. She sent me pictures of the room he's staying in. I'm pretty sure it's bigger than most of the appartments in Provo.

  9. Are you liking it? I hope it was helpful to talk to my sister (I think you two did finally get in touch). I'm dying to read more about what it is like over there! Good luck with everything!
