I am SPEED!

don't mind the helmets and the closed toed shoes it was required.  The bad picture?  I don't understand how in this day and age some people still don't know what button to press.

Way back in June I won a Father's Day drawing and was able to give John two tickets to race an Audi TT on the Dubai autodrome.  He was excited about the Father's day gift and of course, chose to take me with him!  What a guy!  We just went the other night and had a great time.  After a mini orientation and explanation, we each got into separate cars with an instructor in each and raced around a winding and curving track for 20 minutes.  Then we enjoyed a couple laps with our instructors at the wheel (showing us how it's
really done) and we were done.

I realized, although it was lots of fun, I am definitely not as gutsy and reckless as the pro.  Maybe that's because I am pregnant and shouldn't be participating in sports like this.  But, I have a feeling I wouldn't have driven much differently had I not been pregnant.
AND
that Audi TT is a pretty sweet car to drive.
AND
when the instructor reminded us as we left to go home to be safe on the roads and that we weren't on the race track anymore, I sort of laughed and thought: "obviously".  But he was right! Staring at the road after that kept making me want to accelerate after coming off a turn or switch to the inside lane.  Good thing John was driving home.

  1. T - that is so fun! I am sure John loved it. How are you still wearing a belt? You look too good to be pregnant with your third. Good job exercising :)

Tell Asher to stop growing up! He looks so old. I can't stand it.

I want to fly to Dubai next week to hang out with you guys, I miss you so much. But, that's probably not going to happen, sad.

  10. Ditto to the helmet comment- Thanks Elliott! Plus my pose on the car just looks all the more classic! As for the belt Anna, I needed something to hold them up since I have to ride them SO low to even wear them and I believe the belt is also hiding the button being unbuttoned!
AND Hi Tami! So glad you found me, how do I get in contact with you?
